The Global Green Leader Programme is designed for people looking to gain their first credible professional experience in the green economy.
It is particularly suited to third-year Bachelor students, recent graduates and emerging professionals aged around 21+ who already have a foundation in their field and are ready to apply it in practice.
You do not need years of experience. You need the ability and motivation to contribute.

Projects may relate to renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, water management, climate technology, digital infrastructure and the wider Water–Energy–Food Nexus.
The work is real. Your contribution becomes part of an active project.
Build skills by doing the work.
Depending on your background and project, you may work with green IoT, environmental sensors, data annotation, computer vision, machine learning, AI-supported research, software development, biodiversity data, regenerative systems and renewable-energy technologies.
Projects can also involve EU policy and compliance research, market intelligence, stakeholder outreach, communications and international project development.
Technical and professional skills develop together because real climate projects require both.
Work directly with the team.
Global Green Leaders work directly with the leaders of greentech.training, other programme participants and, where relevant, project partners.
You will take responsibility for defined tasks, participate in remote project meetings, collaborate across disciplines and learn how to deliver work within an international team.
The programme is designed to help you move from knowing how to do something to demonstrating that you can deliver it.
Connect your project to your thesis.
The standard Global Green Leader Programme runs for three months.
For enrolled university students, the programme may be extended to six months where the participant's thesis has a clear and substantive connection to the project work being undertaken during the programme.
The extension must be supported by confirmation from the participant's university and approved by greentech.training.

Is this programme invitation-only?
No — participation is application-based. Selection is limited and competitive, but anyone may apply.
Can I apply if I'm not currently a student?

How many people are in each cohort?
Cohort size is capped at 20 people per year across all tracks, so everyone gets sufficient mentorship and project work they can point to as a reference afterward.
